  • The GO-9 PBY Transmitter consists of the following three units:

    1. Rectifier Unit, CAY-20103 (42 lbs)
    2. Intermediate Frequency Transmitter, CAY-52192 (45 lbs)
    3. High Frequency Transmitter, CAY-52193 (50 lbs)

    The transmitter was used on the PBY Catalina Flying Boat during WWII, and is reported to be among the heaviest transmitters ever used on an aircraft.  The companion receiver is the RU-19.

    RF power output 100 watts in wavelength 300 - 600 kHz and 3 - 18.1 MHz.
    It works in CW and modulated telegraphy.
