  • Notes
  • There appears to have been five distinct models of the Weston 777.  The 1941 Allied catalog lists a 777-1 (Type 1) for $49.50 and a 777-2 (Type 2) for $54.75.  The difference between these two types is unknown.  The Weston 777 does not appear again in the Allied catalogs until 1946 (after WW2) where it is listed as a 777, Type 7A for $68.35.  The Type 7A has the added capability to test miniature tubes.

Radio Service Dealer 1944-1945 (an Australian publication) "Technical Service Portfolio" lists a schematic for Type 8 and Type 9, which use a 71A vacuum tube.  The earlier Type models use a 01A vacuum tube.

The Weston 777 was replaced by the Weston 798 in 1946.
