Notes

These big elephant ear shaped loudspekaers were initially used for Yamaha Electones and for (bass) guitar amplifiers. Some loudspeaker makers (e.g. TEAC) used the unit as bass driver (up to 5 kHz), complemented with mid range and high frequency range loudspeakers.

The unit is very efficient especially for ultra low bass sounds and has a robust aluminium diecast frame. It uses a strong permanent magnet (Yamaha patented). The voice coil has a diameter of 66 mm and an impedance of 8 ohms and is coupled to the big diaphragm made from pressed styrene foam.

Net weight (2.2 lb = 1 kg) 8 kg / 17 lb 9.9 oz (17.621 lb)
