Compact network‑capable CD receiver forming part of Yamaha’s MusicCast series. Provides playback from CD, USB storage, Bluetooth input, network audio via Wi‑Fi or Ethernet, AirPlay, DLNA and MusicCast streaming, together with FM and DAB/DAB+ reception. Supports high‑resolution audio formats depending on source. The unit incorporates a digital stereo amplifier and is intended for use with passive loudspeakers. Control is available from the front panel, supplied infrared remote control or the MusicCast Controller application. The chassis uses a compact Hi‑Fi form factor with an aluminium front panel.

Network CD receiver with integrated digital amplifier. Wavebands comprise FM broadcast band with preset memory and DAB/DAB+ digital radio for the CRX‑N470D variant. Disc section supports CD, CD‑R and CD‑RW with Audio CD, MP3 and WMA formats. USB playback accepts MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, ALAC and AIFF depending on file type and resolution, with high‑resolution support up to 192 kHz at 24‑bit for WAV, FLAC and AIFF, and up to 96 kHz at 24‑bit for ALAC. Network audio is provided through Ethernet or Wi‑Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) with DLNA, AirPlay, MusicCast and internet radio services. Bluetooth operation includes A2DP/AVRCP input and Bluetooth transmission to compatible headphones or speakers. Amplifier output is approximately 22 W per channel into 6 Ω at 1 kHz with 10% THD, with typical distortion around 0.05% from CD to speaker output over 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Inputs and outputs include analogue line input via RCA, front 3.5 mm input, front USB port, headphone output, speaker terminals, Ethernet connector and wireless interfaces. Power consumption in standby is approximately 0.5 W with network disabled or approximately 1.9 W with network standby enabled.
