• The band switch has 4 positions:

  1. Far down left 8 o’clock = automatic
  2. Down left 7 o’clock = broadcast
  3. Down right 5 o’clock = short wave
  4. Down far right 4 o’clock = medium range

  The dials are arranged in a stack that changes with the band selected. The broadcast dial in the front most position. Each dial is a different color: black for the broadcast band, gold for shortwave, and a electric blue for medium wave. Riders Perpetual Troubleshooters Manual Volume 9 page 9-43-44 describes the automatic tuning system.
