Description

Disc Seal Tube designed for operation from 1 to 3GHz.
Va <350V, Pa <4W.
Typically 5dB gain at 3GHz with Ia=7mA and Rk=100.
The tube was also proposed as RF amplifier for UHF television tuners, giving 12.5db gain over the entire band and 3-4db noise figure improvements. Electronics, Oct. 1951, pages 106 to 109.
