Description

The number 7406 (Admiralty Pattern) refers to the British Admiralty store code for NR14/CV1150 triode. It is not a tube type number allotted by any manufacturer. The NR14 was originally made by MOV and Ediswan and these had cylindrical elements. Later tubes, made after 1943 were Mullard as replacements and had mica insulation for the unusual shaped anode.
