Description

This tube is a power amplifier type having a special UX base with side terminals. One of these is for the grid so that the tube can be used as a replacement for a normal triode, using a C battery. The other side terminal is connected directly to the anode pin. The filament of this tube is carbon and operates at 15 volts. This voltage was chosen by the manufacturer to make use of the availability of 15 volt AC transformers used in toy trains.
