Description

This tube was a special receiving type designed for the U.S.Navy late in 1924 and the following is stamped on the base: "Licensed only for Governmental and not Commercial uses nor for toll and not for resale". This wording is also on the patents list on the box. Also stamped on the base is: "US Navy Dept. Type CG-1787 GE Co". The tubes were made at both the Nela park factory in Ohio (with phosphorus getters) and the Harrison factory in New Jersey (with magnesium getters).
