Successeurs 1941   CV150

Culot Octal (Int.Octal, IO) K8A, USA 1935
Utilisé par Radar
Chauffage Vf 4 Volt / If 2.5 Ampère / Half indirect
Description

Power klystron intended as high P.R.R. oscillator at 3280 MHz, delivering 250 W minimum peak power. Factory assembled resonators.
7 kV typical collector and resonator voltage, 380 mA max beam current.
Forced-air cooling required over the collector.

The design of power klystron devices was abandoned in the mid 1940, when cavity magnetrons at GEC proved they could easily generate tens of kilowatts pulses. EMI relied upon the experience gained building CV109 to design the CV150 one year later.
