| Description |
The UX based DE5B was first made by the M O Valve Co Ltd with a UX base made in the USA by the Shaw Insulator Company. The Shaw logo - a stylized "S" in a diamond was stamped into the base between the pins and "Made in USA" in very small leters was stamped above the anode and grid pin. This base was used on these tubes for a few months while the MOV factory prepared to manufacture their own American design bases.
