| Descripción |
When British decided on microwave radar, all the RF components were still to be developed. Several solution were proposed and evaluated for the local oscillator in the receiver, including triodes, magnetrons and klystrons. We know tha eventually the Sutton reflex klystron was preferred for its low noise, its frequency stability and the ease of adding AFC. At STC Fremlin developed several microwave Heil oscillators, mainly intended as local oscillators.
DV27 was intended to operate at 10 cm, similar to CV230. No data available, but likely it could operate around 250 V. A DV27 was used as oscillator in an experimental FM barrage jammer.
