Description |
Made for the British Army by MOV. This tube used the IS-2 base as well but there were variations with the IS-4 base (photos). The IS-2 base was a molded ebonite "box" which had two square stud contacts on the bottom for the filament and one square stud on either side for the anode and grid. These studs measured 3.4mm x 4.7mm. The IS-4 base was also a molded ebonite "box", somewhat bigger than the IS-2 base. It had four round stud pins, each 6mm x 7mm. Two on the bottom for the filament and one on each side for the anode and grid. Designer of these bases is not known.
