Description |
Vacuum-tube accelerometer sensor. The tube was devised around the late 1946 by Walter Ramberg at U.S. National Bureau of Standards. The tube pickup was a twin diode with common cathode and two plates, one for each cathode side. The plates were elastically mounted, so to be deflected for perpendicular accelerations applied to the octal base. The natural frequency of this sensor was around 160Hz.
