Description

This tube was made in two versions and offered for sale to Dutch radio amateurs in "Radio Nieuws" April 1, 1918. These were double ended with Edison SES (E14) bases at each end and the element structure was very similar to the Philips Ideezet. Branding of the tubes was NV Pal on one end and the word Pope on the other. According to Tyne, p. 272 & 273, Pope did not make any tubes, so it can be assumed these were made for them by NV Bal. Measurements are for the earlier tube. The bulb and element structure for the later tube was a few mm bigger than this, overall.
