In some publications, both writings Templeton and Templetone are used interchangeably. The correct spelling is Templetone.

In the 1945 Directory of Connecticut Manufacturing and Mechanical Establishments, both Templetone Radio Co and Radio Mfg. Corp. are listed in Mystic, CT, with "wood products" and "radio equipment" respectively.

The first Temple radio to leave assembly lines of  Templetone Radio Mfg. Corp. in New London, CT, was presented to Gov. Raymond E. Baldwin by Oscar Dane, president, in Dec. 1945.
