Description The Full-Wave Cold-cathode-rectifier BH from Raytheon was developed for use in B battery eliminators for radio receivers. It handles high peak currents of 80 to 90 ma (up to 125 with a mac. peak plate current of 400 volts) output - but needs proper elimination of RF noise by proper shielding and filtering. See also the "Telefunken" RGN1500 in Germany or the Z80 from Schickerling, USA.

The attached article form "Radio News, October 1926" is an early description of the Raytheon BH gas-filled recifier not requiring a heater.
