Summary: |
S.T. Limited John Scott-Taggart (born 1897, deceased 1979) was a British radio engineer. As editor of "The Wireless World", "The Wireless Constructor" and other publications, he issued a number of construction envelopes for amateur use, some of which were offered as kit by different manufacturers. He was the author of many books and articles about valve / tube construction and research, and held a number of patents in the field. Scott-Taggart also offered a range of valves/tubes branded ST (perhaps made by Mullard). Advertising emphasised that they were invidually tested and approved and until January 27th, 1927, a certificate was issued personally signed by Scott-Taggart. After this, a rubber stamp was used as the high number of sales did not further permit manual signing. |
