Federated Purchaser, Inc.; 25 Park Place, New York City - Trade names: Acratest, Acratone, Cathedral Tone. Federated Purchaser was a mail-order outfit. Federated Purchaser has not to be confused with Federated Department Stores, Inc. which did own some stores like Filene's in Boston and Abraham and Straus in Brooklyn.

There's nothing in the 1935 or 1940 Poor's Manual, so it may have been a privately-owned corporation - on contrary of that, the catalog does say "Federated Purchaser, Inc.". Their 1935 catalog shows 8 locations ... Two of these addresses were used by Lafayette in 1961.
