Dear forum members,

this tone arm has a small spring loaded wheel, behind the tone capsule. Can anyone explait why this is needed?

Th wheel has a partially flat side, and returns automatically to its default position.

By the way, what kund op capsule is this?

Best regards

Dear Georges,

it looks like a Telefunken TO 1001 pick up. The weel avoids damages of the saphir needle. When the pick up is dropped on the record the wheel protects the needle, the wheel turns and at the flat side of wheel the needle touches the record.

The capsule is a magnetic system.

Best regards
