• The Aladdin Universal Tuner was a versatile 3 coil assembly designed for use in a wide range of early radio circuits. Introduced by Aladdin Radio Co. Pty. Ltd. of Melbourne around 1927, and later manufactured by Airzone Ltd. in Sydney, the tuner simplified receiver construction by integrating three coils — primary, secondary, and reaction — into a single compact unit.

  It was marketed as “Simple, Smart and Selective” and supplied with a printed booklet showing four circuit applications, including regenerative, capacity‑feedback, Browning‑Drake, and wave‑trap configurations.

  Technical Description
  Construction: Circular 3 coil assembly mounted on a metal base with adjustable reaction coupling. Terminals marked A, E, F, G, T, R₁, R₂ for aerial, earth, filament, grid, and reaction connections. The reaction coil was rotatable to vary feedback.
