Notes

In accordance with AWA practice, the Z terminator on the model number indicates a revision of the original model. Here the RF transistors have changed. All other specifications appear not to have changed but this needs confirmation by comparing radios and/or schematics.

The AWA B17 disappears from advertising after August 1963 whilst the B17Z never appears. It is therefore presumed that the upgrade to the Z version was ignored in the Advertising Department. The end of the B17 and the introduction of the B17Z is stated above as 1962 but in reality is unknown.

The battery initially was an Eveready type 2364.
