• Remarques

• This is a heavy portable radio designed for long distance reception with good sensitivity and selectivity. In addition to the transistors, the design incorporates 3 (of) 1N87A diodes and an AS9. There are sockets for external power supply, aerial and earth. The battery can be either a Type 2761 or a pack of 6 x 1.5 Volt "C" cells. The schematic and dial cord route are on a label pasted on the inside rear cover. Weight is with a 2761 battery. There are two steel plates, one supporting the whole front, including the speaker and dial assembly and the second supports the tuning, tone and volume controls as well as the RF and AF circuit boards. The hollow ferrite rod antenna is 16 mm in diameter and 254 mm long. the front is chrome plated plastic with an anodised aluminium speaker grill.
