4 valve, broadcast only receiver using the standard complement of 2 Volt battery valves powered from a synchronous vibrator power pack.
It was advertised in its day as a "Battery Less" radio as it did not require B batteries. However a 6 Volt accumulator was required to run the vibrator to produce the B voltage and 4.5 Volt dry battery, tapped at -1.5 Volts to supply grid bias for the 1K6 and 1D4.
The chassis was also used in the Bandmaster model 447MV.
