This is an amp identical to the one in my Ampex console unit. I hope to add pictures of it very soon. I also have the Owner's Manual with schematic I will upload with the pictures.

The stereo console is proudly displayed in our living room and is used regularly. In order to promote longevity of the amp I had to replace the voltage doubler in the amp with a bridge. I have not replaced tubes since. Aside from not being able to reach volume levels I rarely used, the sound got better

I have the full factory service manual for my Ampex console unit. As soon as I can get it scanned  I'll forward it.

I also replaced the original 6973 tubes with 6GC5's. This required that the original power supply voltage doubler be converted to a full wave bridge. This slightly lowered the output power but cleaned the sound up incredibly. It also has extended the tube life 10 times.

Those changes are noted in the schematic
