  • This AC27 features a lightweight cabinet in the Jacobean style, stained dark, measuring 13 x 14.5 x 76.5 inches. The back of the cabinet features four large vent holes. The driver unit employs a novel heavy-duty electromagnetic design. It includes a 12-inch diameter cone constructed from medium-density fabric layered with adhesive and coarse-density fabric. The cone rim is stitched and fits snugly into the cabinet's front panel.

Amplion (Asia) Pty Ltd began importing and distributing horn speakers in 1926, followed by non-horn speakers in 1927. The first cone speakers were introduced in mid-1927.
The Amplion Cone Speaker AC27, released in the UK in 1926/27, featured a heavy-duty electromagnetic driver and a cloth cone.

Amplion horn speakers equipped with AR drivers were imported both before and after 1926.
