  • Notes
  • Photofact and Rider show a family of Bendix models 1518, 1519, 1524 and 1525 with the same schematic. They note that the "Hush-O-Matic Circuit" with the tubes 6BA6 and 6AQ6 is not used in the chassis of model 1518 and 1519. The cabinet contains a record changer Webster Model 50. The Hush-O-Matic is a noise reduction circuit designed to reduce to a minimum all noise originating from needle-scratch or from old and worn records for the phono input only. It is a completely out of the radio circuit. The models 1518 and 1524 are in Mahagony and the models 1519 and 1525 in Walnut - no other difference. They have pushbutton station selection for stations: "A" is for stations between 540 and 925 kc, B and C for 650 - 1250 kc and D and E for 900 - 1550 kc.
