The Crosley 148 "Fiver" is an AC operated, 5 tube BC band receiver.
Besides the standard Fiver (148) case there is a variant using similar cabinet as the 167. Only visible difference: the two knobs for the 148 instead of three knobs for the 167. Since the chassis of 148 and 167 are not interchangeable, the a.m. variant is definitely an original manufacturers model. See pictures. This radio model can not be earlier than 1932, because of some tubes used.
