- Notes
 - Push-pull audio amplifier. 7 tuned circuits in BC, 6 in police and SW bands. The Detrola model 147 has been made in many versions - some with and some without 6G5 tuning tube. Push-pull audio amplifier is used, 7 tuned circuits in BC, 6 in police and SW bands. Unfortunately we do not yet know the meaning of the different suffixes like A, B, E etc. It seems that the suffix E stands for the magic eye - and we show a full picture of the 147EA1 which has one - and therefore 8 tubes. Rider's page 8-7 shows the diagram for Detrola 147A, 147B and 147CR with 7 tubes - without magic eye. The Rider's schematic 8-12 is for Detrola 147, 147E and 147ECR. It is stated that model 147 does not use the tuning tube (6G5). Beitman shows a schematic for 147E only - with the 6G5.
One of the here shown models is an upright table model with 14 x 17.5 x 8.5 inch size - but we don't know which one. We left the photo on model 147 without suffix - just by chance only! It is now depending of you if we can present collectors a full picture ... Please use the contact form for sending information or pictures to a given model.

Your cabinet picture appears to be correct. I am considering buying this radio through a web site called Letgo. The seller was kind enough to send me pictures of the chassis side. Your cabinet is correct, although his says "Model 148E". I think your chassis pictures are for a Philco.
