AC operated preamplifier. Sams photofact set 487 folder 4 date 6-60 features the Eico models HF61 and HF61A as the same schematic.
This is somewhat misleading, though, as Sams 487-4 does not give details of the HF-61, having the schematic & parts list only for the HF-61A (external power supply variant of this model). Information for the HF-61 (AC powered) can be found in the original EICO owners manual.
