Later version of the BS-5-AB with the addition of a K42A voltage regulator. The BS-5-AB is the Amateur Band version of the BS-5 and covers the 20, 40 80 and meter bands. It was available as a kit or factory wired.
Note: Eilen Radio Laboratories advertisement in the November 1936 Short Craft shows the BS-5-AB without the K42A tube. The December 1936 issue of Short Wave Craft has an article by Guy Stokely on the BS-5-AB, as well as an advertisement, both showing the K42A tube.
