Anotaciones | The Fada 160-A can be identified by a metal ID tag inside the radio near the battery terminals. It was the first radio produced with Hazeltine's Neutrodyne circuit, preceeding the Freed Eisemann NR-5 by about a week. It also has a reflex circuit with the 1st r.f. tube also being the 1st a.f. tube. It will operate with only three tubes if using headphones. Plugging a speaker plug into the speaker jack on the front panel closes contacts to power the 4th tube's (output tube) filament. Other Fada Neutrodyne models with various numbers of tubes, manufactured or built from a kit, were also referred to with the generic brand name "One-Sixty" or "160" (when assembled). These included a 5 tube non reflex version of the same name One-Sixty, and kit versions 166-A (four tube reflex), and 167-A and 169-A, both 5 tube, not reflexing. |
