400 DeLuxe series (De Luxe) collect page
unknown etc. all the way (1931 to the end of this series, 1950. Also data of the first model year, saison 1931/32.
The Capehart 400 series models were made in different technical versions and different cabinets. Also names like Chippendale were made in different cabinets. They could be bought for AM only or combined with FM reception in same cabinets. Please look up the whole range from 1931 to 1950.
Here we save details for later being able to put them to the correct models with the model types known.
This particular model season:
For the first season (which is without suffix), 1931/32 there were at least the following general models offered:
Cabinets:
In the season 1931/32 Capehart has made a model 400 style Chippendale for $ 1095, a model 401 style Chinese Chippendale for $ 995 and a model 402 style Adam for $ 895. These were the only models for ths first season, followed by 400A, 401A, 402A and (late) a new style 404 Chateau. Chinese Chippendale was only made in the first season.
