  • The Freed Television & Radio model 37 is an AM-FM radio with a record changer.

    The Freed 37 receives four bands:
    Broadcast 540 1600 kHz
    Shortwave 1 6.2 9.9 MHz
    Shortwave 2 12 17.5 MHz
    FM 88 108 MHz

    The receiver chassis CH-110 uses 16 tubes and implements separate AM and FM signal paths. This model uses double conversion in the FM receiver. The first IF is 10.7 MHz, and the second IF is 4.3 MHz.

    The power/amplifier chassis PS-4 uses 5 tubes including a 6J5 pre-amp, two 6L6G audio tubes in push-pull, and two 5U4G rectifier tubes in the power supply.
