• This radio is made to be mounted under the dashboard of a car. There are 4 versions of this radio and are designated Type 1, 2, 3 and 4 (116A). Types 1 through 3 have serial numbers between 10,001 and 16,036. Type 3 matches schematic #175-B and differs from Type 1 by having an 85 tube for the 2nd detector, 6Y5 for the rectifier, added 4,000 ohm R17 and R18, omitted R5 and C22 and have a different bias circuit. The rectifier filament is separate from the others and connected to the white/red wire from the control unit.
