• Das Fernauge FA40 verwendet ein "Resistron" als Bildaufnahmeröhre, Objektiv (Aufpreis DM 150,-): Steinhell-Quinon 25 mm, 1:1,5; Mindest-Beleuchtungsstärke 200 Lux.

  Eingebauter Modulator, HF-Ausgang für VHF-Kanal 2 und 5; 10-m-Spezialkabel gegen Aufpreis (DM 30,-). Stromversorgung durch separates Netzteil (150×180×200 mm) gegen Aufpreis (DM 300,-).

  Laut Funkschau 18/1959 betrug der Preis einer betriebsbereiten Zusammenstellung (Kamera, Netzgerät, Objektiv und Kabel) etwa DM 2'200,-

  Verwendung als Heim-Fernsehkamera und für Überwachungszwecke (z.B. Kaufhaus). Kamera im Blechgehäuse mit C-Mount Objektivanschluss und separatem Röhrennetzteil.

  Sie wurde 1959 von Max Grundig unter dem Spitznamen 'TV Eye' auf der 'radio and television equipment exhibition' vorgestellt.
