  • This radio is a dedicated portable with no provision for mains power. There is provision for an external aerial and also a car aerial. These feed different taps on a coil on the ferrite rod antenna. Both connectors have provision for an RF earth.

    Output stage via a matched pair of 2N217S transistors.

    The leather case sits over an aluminium frame with a die-cast metal fascia. The carry handle is metal.
