  • A portable tape recorder. 2 speed (1⅞ and 3¾ ips), 4 track, max spool size 5¾ inches. Tape deck type Thorn DB42. Input sockets for microphone, radio and pick-up, output sockets for radio and 3Ω extension loudspeaker. Also an accessory socket providing connection to auxiliary units to enable the recorder to playback stereo tapes, for slide projector synchronisation, voice operated start/stop and soundtrack dubbing.  Released in 1964, price 35 guineas.

    Similar to models Ferguson 3204, Marconiphone 4204, and Ultra 6202. Also similar to the HMV 2204 model which has a Thorn FTD4 deck.
