    A 21" lowboy TV receiver having aluminised 90° deflection electrostatic-focus tube, 23 valves and three germanium diodes. Four-valve IF stages have phase linear alignment and include special valve to reduce "herringbone" interference on Ch. 2. Socket provided at rear of set into which may be plugged an HMV remote control unit (Optional extra) for sound volume and picture contrast; also socket at rear for connection of an HMV deaf aid attachment.

    Features: Balanced 300 Ω input; 10-channel turret tuner with cascode amplifier; DC coupling of video amplifier; balanced flywheel sync. Push-pull 6W audio output; two front mounted 7" x 5" elliptical speakers.

    Supply, 200-240V, 50 C/s (Hz); consumption, 180W. Picture area approx. 260 sq. ins., having correct aspect ratio.

    Dual front controls: volume/on-off and contrast, channel selector and fine tuning. Controls under front flap: tone, brightness vertical hold and height. At rear: horiz. hold, width, and AGC. Cabinet finishes: walnut, maple or rosewood. (MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
