Crystal detector receiver on a polished wooden base with a black top panel carrying the tuning coil, detector assembly and terminals. The aerial and earth feed directly into the main tuning coil, and no provision is made for attaching an external loading coil. The detector is a conventional crystal and cat‑whisker unit mounted on a small sub‑panel. The layout is typical of early 1920s crystal sets intended for medium‑wave reception using a long‑wire aerial and high‑impedance headphones. No fittings for long‑wave extension coils are present on this version.
