  • Notes
  • The Kingston 550 has been brought from Italy. The tubes are European, the rectifier can be a UY41 or UY42. The voltage switch has a range from 110 to 280 volts and is marked "CAMBIO TENSIONI" (voltage selector) which is Italian. The loudspeaker is from IREL Italy, named Alnico V - PM Speaker. IREL stands for "IndustrieRadio Elettriche Liguri", Genova. There is no marking on the radio except Kingston 550. The middle of the scale carries "Kingston Radio". Shortwave band is from 16 to 52 m and broadcast from 200 - 550 m. Most likely this has nothing to do with the US maker Kingston, since this set has been built in Italy.

Same set has been sold also as "Komet K550", with small changes.
