  • The Lafayette catalog calls this model B-17 All Wave Custom-Built as console, A-16 All-Wave as mantel radio and B-15 as chassis incl. loudspeaker. The All-Wave is a 7 tube AC 3 band Superhet which has an RF amplifier (tube 6D6) for all waves. Wave length is 18,300 - 5,800 kc (16.4 - 51.7 m), 5,800 - 1,700 kc ((51.7 - 176.4 m) and 1,750 - 530 kc (171.4 - 566 m). The models are not listed at Rider's. They have a "Triple Indicator Airplane Dial", Automatic Volume Control (AVC), continuously variable tone control. Sensivity is between 2 and 8 microvolts per meter. They can be had for 220 volts for addl. $ 2.50.

    The B-17 console has a list price of $ 85.00 and Lafayette asks for $ 42.50, the mantel B-16 $ 69.90, Lafayette price $ 34.95.
