Air-o-Charger from page 30.

The flagship:
Lafayette C-95, Lafayette C-96 and Lafayette C-97 "The Monarch".
It is a 24 tube radio and the first and only Lafayette with a magic Eye in this radio season 1935/36.

But who made it?

This chassis C-95 from Radio Wire Television has probably been selected by Lafayette for models C-95 (chassis only), C-96 "The Statesman" and C-97 "The Monarch". The only difference we can find is the use of a tube 76 instead of a 45 as a rectifier - which "job" both can do the same way.

Rider's shows the front with the knobs: Volume control and Phono switch; Wave Band Switch; in the middle: below Beat Oscillator, above Coarse and fine tuning; HiFidelity; Selectivity switch. Lafayette does not show the lower knob for the beat oscillator but otherwise everything seems to be the same and also the parts shown for the main chassis are equal.

Lafayette B-12 "32 Volt Receiver":
The chassis is the D6, made by Wells-Gardner, sold also by Gamble Skogmo, Inc. as D6.
For the model Lafayette you see nice pictures from the set - but also from the chassis including inside (the original wiring) - thanks to the guest, Mark Albert, KB9VKE, who used the contact form to send us pictures and information.

Lafayette J-50 6 Volt Receiver and model Lafayette A-55: These are "air-o-charger" models.

Lafayette Radio A-31: This is a battery set with incorporated batteries.

Lafayette Car Radio A-60 "Suppressorless":
This is a suppressor-less car radio which was then not standard.

Lafayette B-21
"All-Wave Radio Robot": This was made by Wells-Gardner and also Montgomery Ward sold it.

Lafayette B-23: This model was also made by Wells-Gardner.

Lafayette B-42 "Hi-Fidelity All wave":
This floor console radio has a Capehart changer incorporated, as quite some other Lafayette models.
