  • The R209/2/B reception set is a later variant of the R209 MK II general-purpose receiver. The construction is very solid and waterproof.
    Antenna connections for wire/rod and for dipole ca. 80 ohms, with antenna-trimmer.
    Frequency range in 4 bands 1,0-2,3 MHz, 2,3-5,6 MHz, 5,5-12,5 MHz, 12,0-20,0 MHz. Sigal modes AM/CW/FM. The BFO is variable to tune an audio-peak at ca. 950 Hz.
    The FM-mode is present because of the existing circuitry, but it is rather useless. V8, CV784 acts in FM-mode as IF-limiter and the diode section is the discriminator. The audio stage is push-pull, with a 10 ohm speaker and a socket for two extra 150 ohm headphones.
    The set lacks the IF-signal-out connector, at it's place, the on/off switch is located now.
    It has a new PSU, 12 volts or 24 volts battery supply, as well as mains-supply 110 and 220 volts. The mains transformer also enables 230 volts. For mains supply a second connecting-cable is supplied. The voltage selector is found left at the top, besides the now locked fuseholder.
    A spare box with different fuses and a spare desiccator is supplied.
    Valves are specified after their schematic-numbering.
