  • Remarques
  • The Philco model 635 series (1936) is a follow-on to the 630 series (1935) and very similar in design. The models of the 635 series use a 6-tube 3-band chassis with shadow meter (tuning aid). The bands covered are BC, 1.75-5.8 MHz, and 5.7-18 MHz. A new feature on the 635 chassis is the band indicator, which shows the band in use by moving a lighted dial marker to the appropriate scale on the dial.

There are four individual models with different cabinet styles. Model 635B is a shouldered tombstone. Model 635X is a console with inclined sounding board and 3 vertical bars in front of the speaker opening. Model 635PF is radio-phonograph floor-type console with phonograph under the top lid. Model 635CSX is a chairside with built-in speaker and with the controls in a T-shaped recess on the top.

The 37-630 series (1936-37), and the 38-630 series (1937-38) were similar in electrical design, although these later series had updated tube types and different SW band coverage.
