    The following accessories were available:

    Microphone EV7016/20
    Carrying strap EL3767/00

There were three main manufacturing facilities for Philips tape recorders: Hasselt (B), Eindhoven (NL) and Vienna (A).

EL3586 models do not carry a clear indication of origin. Some were made in Hasselt (B), even though there is a sticker "Made in Holland" on them. An exception is the Brazilian model below.

Model type suffices can carry different meanings, here they demoninate either the country of production or the commercial destination country (/30 Austria, /22 Germany). Suffix /00 is the base model (likely manufactured at the main plant), it is often omitted on type labels.

Until we know more, this general model page is filed under Philips Netherlands.

We list the following other Philips models:

    • Australia: Continental 86 / EL3586, local name
    • Austria: Maestro 11 / EL3586/30, local name, country suffix /30 (also /00)
    • Brazil: EL3586E, apparently made in Brazil
    • Germany: RK5L / EL3586/22, local (additional) type, country suffix /22

There are also a number of derivative models, under diverse Philips sub-brands, partly with differing exterior:

Models for sub-brands were not necessarily produced in the destination countries.
