Alternatives to the transistors listed are given in the service data.  However, it is not clear whether these were used in production or are listed for the benefit of service technicians looking for a substitute.

An example has been sighted dated 1957 using G.E. transistor types 2N137, 2N138, 2N192, and 2N320, which are not listed as alternatives in the service manual but appear to be original.

Made in New Zealand. See also the Australian version Pye Transistor Portable P123BQ and the British version (with LW) P123BQ.
