  • This page shows a receiver conceived by the Patent Engineering Corp. of Harry van Deventer and Earl Koch.

    It employs special miniaturized tubes (Microtrons) with outside grids and a Crystal Speaker. The set and the tubes are probably a preliminary design.

    In 1932, the Radio Products Corp. announced plans for the release of a miniature radio developed by Earl Koch, in which small versions of 27s and a mercury vapor type 81 rectifier were emplyed. This set however used only 6 tubes, see Model 8.
