  • Portable six transistor MW/LW radio in a plastic case. Released in June 1959 at £18.7s.6d. Powered by two PP1 6 volt batteries connected in series. Socket for car aerial.

    The B56B differs from the earlier B56  and B56A model by the virtue that it does not have fixed LW preset, but can be tuned across the LW band.

    A similar chassis is fitted to the RGD B57 which has a leather case.
