  • Notes
    • Based on Super Ondolina 552 with AC mains. The power supply is placed behind the radio chassis.
    • There is a rheostat and a voltmeter on the primary side of the mains transformer to compensate for voltage changes and a current regulator to keep the filament current constant.
    • There is an alternative tubeset from Dario: R81R78, R81, R76R79.
    • This radio was delivered with a loop antenna 554.

SBR prospects state contradictory values for the measures of this model (42x40x40 and 60x60x60 cm). A model in the collection of the SBR Museum (B) measures 40x42x40 (WxHxD) cm.

The price mentioned is with a loop antenna and a loudspeaker (unspecified model from the "Voxalina" range) included. Some prospects may state a price of 5200 BFr which is without a loudspeaker.

Since the Super Ondolina 552 radio also exists in 2 DC versions, we may assume that there could have been 2 DC models from this Radio-Phono 554. At this date, however, there is no specific information available other than a prospect that mentions "DC" along with "AC". A battery version is rather unlikely in view of the power consumption of the PU motor.
